The only independent, nonprofit news organization solely dedicated to reporting on the Adirondack Park.
Through its news reporting and analysis, the nonprofit Adirondack Explorer furthers the wise stewardship, public enjoyment for all, community vitality, and lasting protection of the Adirondack park.

A new process for dealing with High Peaks visitor use was outlined in a public meeting in Saranac Lake Tuesday.
An Oregon-based firm, which has helped various national parks with managing visitors, will help the state address visitation in the Adirondack Park’s High Peaks.
A free hiker shuttle on state Route 73 through the Adirondack Park’s High Peaks did not transport as many hikers as some would have liked.
