Local food dinner at Echo Farm

The folks at Farmstead Catering at Echo Farm in Essex are celebrating the fall harvest with an Adirondack long table dinner.

The Farm, which specializes in farm-to-table catering, will be harvesting from the surrounding fields and transforming ingredients into several courses of family style dishes served at twilight. The event kicks off with a tour of the farm at 5 p.m., followed by cocktails at 5:30, featuring alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Dinner will commence at 6 p.m.

Guests can sponsor low-income career-farmers for a spot at the table. Purchase a “Farmer Voucher” if you would like the organizers to invite an Essex County farmer growing food in our community on your behalf.

Please note, in the event of inclement weather, organizers will reschedule the event to Saturday, Sept. 21. Guests will be notified when and if the event is rescheduled prior to the event.

Tickets cost $90 a person and will be sold through Aug. 19. More info and tickets: https://www.facebook.com/events/2185233738265034/
