We were working on the March issue during the month of January, so you’ll get a sneak preview of the next issue when you look through these photos. The March issue with include stories about uphill skiing at Whiteface, horse logging in Willsboro, a volunteer effort to build lean-tos, and the Penfield Homestead in Essex County.

Great pix, BUT, can you make the A/E header smaller? Right now it takes up 1/4 of the page and the pix are compressed so the description below each has to be scrolled to read it.
Just a concern to make the page more user/reader friendly.
Appreciated the uphill skiing picture.
The shame is that the very limited uphill skiing in the Daks hurts the region.
We used to spend 20-25 days a winter in the Daks. Now we mainly go to Vermont where widespread and friendly uphill policies allow us to skin and ski all day (and often at night if one wishes) even when the backcountry snow is poor.
Waking up at 6 AM for one run at Whiteface doesn’t quite match up! The loss is NYS ‘s.
