Director John Gereau talks about Essex Industries and how it works with people with disabilities to prepare them to join the work force. His organization announced this spring it is embarking on a new venture with Adirondack Canoe Company to make lightweight canoes. Essex Industries is the manufacturing arm of Mountain Lake Services, a nonprofit provider of services for people with developmental challenges. Essex Industries is based in Mineville in eastern Essex County.
