Tim, your name has popped up again. I see you are still in the Adirondacks.

I sent you a note and some old photos from Norway as I worked on my project of
sorting old stuff during the COVID lockdown in 2020. I did not know how to get in touch with you, even though I gathered you lived somewhere in the Adirondacks.
I sent the envelope to Herold Mail in Hagerstown with a note to forward to you.

Just email – Yes, got it or No, did not. Hope all is well with you and yours. Aleda

Greetings, Tim! Were there red trail markers on the trail you took instead of blue markers supposedly on the trail you meant to take? Noting that difference might have helped!

I totally agree with you about this unnecessarily confusing sign. During a recent hike to the falls and the Hudson gorge, my hiking companion and I had to ponder this very sign for a minute to determine what the sign intended.

I hiked this trail for the first time two days ago and *almost* made the same mistake. So I empathize with anyone who misreads this sign. I’m also a little spooked that Google read my mind and this article wound up in my news feed.

We literally made that same mistake on Saturday. We accidently went left and made our way to the trail junction a few miles in. We went right and then ended up bushwhacking back to the OK Skip Falls trail (after crossing over a beaver damn and some minor time spent on the frontier camp road). Ended up being a nice 10 mile loop with ponds and waterfalls.
