Local farms hiring for 2020 season

If you are interested in getting involved in farm work, two great local farms recently posted job announcements.

In AuSable Forks, the historic Asgaard Farm & Dairy is recruiting a full-time farmer, with duties that include livestock management, fieldwork and participating in the daily milking rotation.  

The ideal candidate is someone who has a strong interest and experience in farming, who works hard, who works well independently and in cooperation with others and who takes initiative.  Experience with farm equipment is a plus. Compensation is competitive and includes benefits.

In Keene Valley, Wild Work Farm aims to hire employees to start May 1 for the 2020 veggie growing season.

Wild Work Farm is a three-acre, woman-owned and operated diversified farm that grows mixed vegetable crops, half an acre of perennial plantings, with another acre in cover crop.
