Rulf’s hosts Open Farm Sunday Oct. 6

Part of day of events happening among Cabot Creamery Co-operative members

This fall, members in Cabot Creamery’s network of family farms are opening their doors for a day of family fun. Activities include hayrides, scavenger hunts, kids’ games, farm animals – plus samples of Cabot’s signature cheddar cheese.

In the Champlain Valley, there will be an Open Farm Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 6 at Rulfs Orchard, located at 531 Bear Swamp Road in Peru. At nearby Adirondack Farm (owned by the same Rulfs family), 193 Brown Rd. in Peru, there will be be farm and barn tours, and employees will be serving grilled cheese sandwiches and cheese burgers.

Also happening at Rulf’s every Friday night through Halloween: Flashlight nights in the corn maze, from 5-9 p.m. The corn maze is also open during daytime hours (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) on Saturdays and Sundays through October. Details: https://www.rulfsorchard.com/
