August is a busy month in the Adirondacks. The weather is great for outdoor adventures, wildlife is active, and sunsets on the lakes can be captivating. At the Explorer, we try to capture this action in our writing and photos. Above are images from some of our stories during this period. The images include cyclists going through farmlands in the Champlain Valley, European adventurers paddling through the northern Adirondacks, and nighttime views from the summit of Hurricane Mountain.
