We’re Searching for a New Editor
The Adirondack Explorer, a non-profit newsmagazine devoted to the lasting protection and public enjoyment of the Adirondack Park, is looking for a top-notch editor-in-chief to carry on the important work at this mission-driven enterprise. Our current editor is retiring after 19 years on the job.
- Candidates should have a keen interest in environmental and conservation issues, outdoor recreation, and the unique social, political and economic realities of the Adirondack Park.
- Successful candidate will be an experienced journalist adept at writing, editing, and managing freelance reporters, columnists, photographers and part-time staff.
- Must have hands-on experience with all digital platforms and devices essential to posting content on our Explorer and Adirondack Almanack websites and affiliated social media.
- Candidate must have demonstrated story-editing skills through her/his prior work.
