Spring is usually known as the season of love/romance, but not so for a moose. Many sightings have been cropping up, as these ungulates are out looking for a fall fling.
Turns out, plenty of humans are in love with fall, too, as seen in recent weeks with the intensity of high peaks traffic reaching new highs.

GOOD NEWS FOR MOOSE: A recent story looks at how the relatively small population of Adirondack moose could mean less of a spread of deadly parasitic winter ticks that have been decimating moose in New England states. READ MORE
A FEW BAD APPLES: Some reports of vandalism cropped up recently, such as the hacking of this sign on the Blue Ridge Road in Newcomb. On Facebook, Almanack contributor John Sasso posted photos of graffiti on Blue Mountain.
