The Adirondack Explorer, a 23-year-old nonprofit newsmagazine covering New York’s 6-million-acre Adirondack Park, is looking for a Customer Relations Manager to join our team. We are a growing print and digital news operation, with an environmental point of view.
We are updating our subscription and customer management systems and installing a CRM system that will handle all subscriber and donor databases. We are looking for someone with experience managing databases who understands the importance of using this information to retain and grow circulation and revenue.
Experience in customer service is important. Experience using a CRM and proficiency with Excel and Google Docs is critical. Familiarity with our outgoing system, Access, is helpful. Familiarity with an email marketing platform such as Mailchimp is useful. The job also involves communicating clearly and effectively in a timely manner with our subscribers and with our team of journalists and business staff in person, by phone and through digital communications.
This pivotal position reports to the publisher. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The Explorer offers health and retirement benefits. Our offices are in Saranac Lake, NY.
